There are quite a few affordable deals you can find on accommodation in Cape Town. It obviously depends on location. Flats and houses to rent in eg Camps Bay is quite expensive, but if you're a budget traveller there are quite a few backpackers that offer a clean and cheap bed at rates between R100 and R200 per day per person.
